Middlesex Jazz Ensemble Performs at WCSU Jazz Festival

The Middlesex Middle School Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of James Carter, had the opportunity to perform at the 2012 Western Connecticut State University Jazz Festival on Thursday, April 26. The students performed for distinguished jazz educators and were involved in clinics and workshops during the day. The WCSU Jazz Festival is a three day event featuring performances of middle school bands, high school bands, various University Jazz Ensembles and headliner professional jazz performances in the evening. This year’s festival featured performances from saxophonist George Garzone and
guitarist Jim Hall.
